Kenai City Council to Talk Budget During Work Session Tonight

The Kenai City Council is holding a budget work session tonight to discuss the city’s fiscal year 2014 budget. We spoke to Kenai City Manager Rick Koch about the draft budget…

Koch: “ The draft budget, as presented, maintains a low property tax mil rate, it has a slight surplus in the general fund budget of somewhere in the neighborhood of $100,000, I think the budget in total is about $14 million. The enterprise funds, the water and sewer is healthy, doing well, and as most residents notice delivering very high quality clear water these days.

The work session will begin at 6:30pm at the Kenai City Council Chambers.
