Kenai City Council Narrows Search for Clerk

The Kenai City Council has narrowed the search for its next City Clerk. Mayor Pat Porter said a work session was held Monday night to address the vacancy.

The mayor wants to see a new clerk hired before the October election is certified. She said the names of the finalists are not being released, because they have not been notified yet. She also said, as a courtesy, she did not want to say where the finalists were from, yet.

The names are expected to be released in the next few days.
