Kenai Bluff Meetings Set for May

Kenai residents may soon see concrete details for the Bluffs Stabilization Project; City Manager Rick Koch says the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be in town May 4-5…

Koch: “They will be making a two-day presentation to governments and groups and regulatory agencies about the work they will be performing over the next, as much as two years, for the final feasibility study.”

On the second day there will be a public meeting, where the preliminary design of the project will be put on display and residents will get to ask…

Koch: “What will the construction look like? How long will it take? What impacts might there be? Which properties may be lost and need to be a part of the project because there’s not anything left of them to be saved?”

The schedule is also still being developed, since the full funding for construction isn’t yet in place.
