Kasilof River Special Use Area Meeting Today

A special meeting to discuss the state’s proposed Special Use Area for the Kasilof River is scheduled for this afternoon. The meeting was called for by Senator Tom Wagoner of Kenai earlier in the month to allow for more comment on the state’s proposal.

Wagoner said the legal department for the Department of Natural Resources could not hold another meeting in Kasilof after the deadline for public comments. The meeting is scheduled for 1-3pm this afternoon at Tustumena Elementary School.
