The high water table in the K Beach area continues to concern local residents, with many between Mile 11 and 16 reporting there’s standing water in their yards and across roads.
The Borough is holding a meeting for local residents tomorrow night on Funny River Rd. Brenda Ahlberg in the Office of Emergency Management…
Ahlberg: “The meeting is scheduled for Thursday at the Don Gilman River Center, that’s across from the Soldotna Airport, from 6 to 8 o’clock. And we are going to be discussing the area of mile 11 to 16 off of K-Beach Rd and that area is experiencing high water table and ground saturation. We’ve had some residents request our assistance to evaluate the current conditions.”
Ahlberg said the meeting is open to the public, and will have information useful for all property owners int he Kenai Peninsula Borough. State and Borough representatives will be on hand to answer questions.
