Just under 25% of Borough Service Area Board Seats Unfilled For

The municipal election filing period closed on Wednesday, and of the 33 seats open on various service area boards across the borough, just short of a quarter of the seats are left unfiled for.

There is one seat left unfiled for the Anchor Point Fire and Emergency Medical Service Area Board, two seats are unfiled for on the Bear Creek Fire Service Area Board, as well as, both of the two open seats on the Kachemak Emergency Service Area Board. There is one seat unfiled for on the Nikiski Senior Service Area Board, the Seward-Bear Creek Flood Service Area Board, and the South Kenai Peninsula Hospital Service area board.
