Ice Hawk U-16 Close-out National Tournament 3-1 With 6-2 Quarterfinal Loss

The KPHA Midget U-16 competition hockey team closed-out play at the National USA Hockey tournament on Saturday with a 6-2 loss to Greensboro, North Carolina in the bracketed, quarterfinal round.

Following a scoreless first period, the Ice Hawks allowed four goals in the second period and a pair of third period goals; as the Greensboro Stars held the Ice Hawks to a total of two goals, both scored by Jake Eubank.

The Ice Hawks were eliminated with a 3-1 overall record after going 3-0 in the NHL pool leading up to the quarterfinal game.


Friday Game Result

The KPHA Midget U-16 competition hockey team recorded a third-straight tournament victory.

The U-16 Ice Hawks defeated Huntsville, Alabama 7-4 to improve to 3-0 in the NHL pool at the national tournament.

The Ice Hawks now advance to the eight-team bracket and into the quarterfinal round.
The U-16 Ice Hawks will face-off against Greensboro at 6:15 a.m. Alaska time on Saturday.


Thursday Game Result

The Ice Hawks continued play on Thursday, April 4th defeating the Utah Jr. Grizzlies 6-5 in overtime.  The Ice Hawks scored on goals by Jake Eubank, a three-goal hat trick, TJ Wagoner, Dalton Dasko and Tommy Bowe.  Eubanks scored the game-winner in overtime.


Wednesday Game Result

The KPHA Ice Hawks defeated the Howard Huskies from Maryland 4-1 in the tournament’s first round on Wednesday.
