Hospital Ordinance Not Introduced By Assembly

9/08/2010

The Borough Assembly, last night, did not introduce the ordinance allowing the Central Peninsula Hospital to move forward with a letter of intent with LHP Hospital Group.  Supporters of the introduction were Pete Sprague of Soldotna, Hal Smalley of Kenai, Charlie Pierce of Sterling and Sue McClure of Seward.  Opponents to the introduction were Paul Fischer of Kasilof, Bill Smith of Homer, Mako Haggerty of Homer, Gary Knopp of the K-Beach area and Gary Superman of Nikiski.

Hallelujah! This battle has been won, but there are sure to be more. It was great to see everyone turn out to help defeat this ill-advised ordinance. Keep up the good work everyone!
