Homer Woman Charged With Assault, Resisting Arrest

32-year-old Latisha Johnson was arraigned in Homer today, after being charged on Thursday with Domestic Assault, Assaulting an Officer and Resisting Arrest. We spoke to Homer Police¬†Lieutenant¬†Randy Rosencrans…


Lt. Rosencrans: “At about midnight, there was a reported domestic assault, involving a male and a female, that occurred on 3850 Heath Street, apartment number five. Officers responded to that scene, took a report, but found that the suspect was not at the scene anymore. Later on, the officer contacted a suspect at the Safeway grocery store here in Homer, and placed the person under arrest. In the meantime, the person resisted arrest and was charged with resisting arrest and assault on a police officer.”
