The project of bringing natural gas service to the southern Kenai Peninsula is continuing to move ahead. During our recent conversation with John Sims with Enstar Natural Gas, we asked about the projects overall time frame..
Sims: “Well for Kachemak City, we’re looking have that project done in 2013, as far as the special assessment district. For the City of Homer, we’re looking at a two-year project, 2013 and 2014, and a lot of that is weather dependent, you know, if any kind of circumstances arise that we weren’t anticipating that could push it beyond those dates. But at this point, we’re planning on completing the project in 2013 and finishing up in 2014.”
