Homer Electric Association’s Brad Janorschke announced to the Kenai Chamber of Commerce, yesterday, that Homer Electric Association has requested, with the Regulatory Commission of Alaska, a six percent increase in its base rate. He said the increase was needed to cover increasing costs to do business.
Janorschke anticipates the RCA will approve this increase by April. If this base rate increase is approved by the RCA, then, HEA would not request another base rate increase for nearly two years
