Health Care Still Driving Topic in Borough/Union Talks

The Kenai Peninsula Borough Administration and the Kenai Peninsula Borough Employee Association went back to the table early this week to continue their ongoing contract talks that begin in January. We spoke to Terry Bookey, a Captain with Central Emergency Services who spoke on behalf of the borough employees union, and noted that health care costs have been a major topic


Capt. Bookey: “Health care is certainly a part of the discussions, you know, the employees are looking to work with the Administration to help reduce health care costs to the Borough.
