Homer Electric Association is continuing to explore new sources of energy. The New Generation power plant in Nikiski is online, and Johna Beech with the Kenai Chamber of Commerce said HEA’s General Manager will be making a presentation…
Beech: “Today we have a Kenai Chamber Luncheon, here at the Kenai Visitor’s Center at noon. We have Brad Janorske with HEA is going to give us an update on their progress with the new projects and all that jazz.”
That luncheon is happening right now; if you missed it, HEA’s energy fair will also be in Kenai this weekend.
Saturday, November 2nd, from 10 am to 4 pm, HEA’s fifth annual fair will kick off at the Kenai Middle School and continuing on November 9th at West Homer Elementary School in Homer.
The fairs will feature presentations on renewable ocean and tidal energy projects, along with 30 vendors, food, activities, and prizes.
