Five candidates have filed for the Board of Directors to the Homer Electric Association.  The filing period ended on March 5th.  HEA members are expected to receive ballots on April 2nd.  Completed mail-in ballots must be received by May 4th in order to be valid.   HEA members will also have an opportunity to vote at the Annual Meeting, which will be held May 5th at the Kenai Central High School.

This year in District One, which includes Kenai, Nikiski and parts of Soldotna, the candidates in the race are incumbent Tony Garcia of Nikiski and William Warren of Nikiski.   District Two includes Soldotna, Sterling and Kasilof.  The candidates in that race are incumbent Debbie Debnam of Sterling and Kenneth Hepner of Sterling.  District Three includes the southern portion of the Kenai Peninsula to Kasilof.  The incumbent, Bill Fry of Homer,  is the only candidate.
