Have Fun, Stay Off Private Property

A holiday this week means more time for playing outdoors, but be aware of your surroundings. HEA’s Joe Gallagher said snowmachiners in particular have a tendency to wander…

Gallagher: “At this time of year, it’s always important for people to realize that easements that Homer Electric Association has for its power lines are easements that we have in an agreement with the private property owner. The easements are not open to public use or public access, and this is important at this time of year especially, because people tend to use them for snowmachines and that type of thing, so we always at this time of year do put notices out that this easement is HEA only, it is not open to public use.”
