Hard Rock Looking for Alaskan Flair in Anchorage

Hard Rock Cafe is making the final preparations for an opening in downtown Anchorage next spring, and they’re hoping to add something uniquely Alaskan.

Scott Brokaw from Los Angeles will be the General Manager…

Brokaw: “We’re doing what is called ‘Calling All Artists.’ We want somebody in the Alaska community to have a stamp in our grand opening. What it is is, on our Facebook page, at facebook.com/hrcanchorage, we have entry forms where any artist in Alaska could go in, put in their drawings or paintings and we’re going to put it on our grand opening t-shirt, as well as a grand opening pen.”

The cafe will replace the troubled Rummrunners Old Towne Bar, and Brokaw said it will operate similarly to its Lower 48 counterparts. Except, of course…

Brokaw: “Of course, we’ll have Alaskan salmon.”
