Governor Adds Funding for Lower Kenai Upgrades

We’ve been reporting on the Governor’s slim capital budget for FY2015, which didn’t include many local capital projects, but Governor Parnell said there were some Kenai Peninsula items which made the cut…

Gov. Parnell: “Our budget includes funding for several projects critical to the peninsula, including: $1 million for upgrades to the Lower Kenai River Park Facility and over $1 million to finish the improvements at the mouth of the Kasilof. I’m going to work with Legislators from your area to meet peninsula needs and to finalize a budget in the spring that pays down state debt, makes strategic in education and lowers energy costs for Alaskans.”
