Helicopter crews from Fort Wainwright, on a training mission, helped rescue two-people from a downed airplane.
Army officials say the Chinooks were returning from training near the Clear Air Station Wednesday afternoon when they received a call for help.
A pilot was searching for another downed aircraft. The helicopters located the wreck and the two people aboard.
Both individuals were uninjured; however, they were stuck in a wetland.
One of the helicopters landed and picked up the pair and took them home to Nenana.
