Former Lowe’s Building Sold to Investment Group

The sale of the former Lowe’s Building in Kenai has closed. Fred Braun with Freedom Reality spoke exclusively with the KSRM News Department this morning.

Braun confirmed that the building, which has set vacant since the August 15th 2011 announcement that the home improvement retailer were closing their doors in Kenai.

The sale of the building was to JL Properties, an investment firm that focuses on the acquisition of distressed Alaska real estate assets.

According to the JL Properties website, the company has worked on Government projects, commercial office building development, and retail development.

They are currently working on a retail development project at International and C Street in Anchorage.
