Currently, there are three assembly seats up for election. They are held by Hal Smalley of Kenai, Charlie Pierce of Sterling, and Bill Smith of Homer. Smith, is term-limited out. We attempted to contact Assembly members Smalley and Pierce to learn if they plan to seek additional terms; however, our phone calls were not returned.
There are currently six people campaigning for the office of Borough Mayor. They are Dale Bagley of Soldotna, Mike Navarre of Kenai, Gary Superman of Nikiski, Debbie Brown of Kasilof, Fred Sturman of Soldotna and Tim O’Brien of Nikiski.
