Homer Electric Association says that the Regulatory Commission of Alaska has approved an increase to all retail kilowatt-hours sold by regulated utilities in the state, including Homer Electric Association.
HEA says this increased rate goes into effect, tomorrow. The change will mean a monthly increase of eight cents for the average residential HEA member using 630 kilowatt hours per month.
According to Homer Electric, this increase helps fund the Regulatory Commission of Alaska. On HEA bills, it’s identified as the regulatory cost charge.
