Drug Delivery Picked Up on Seward Highway

A 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass was pulled over yesterday at 2:15pm, for a traffic violation, which quickly escalated into a $10,000 arrest.


Joe Edward Harmon, age 49 of Anchorage, was stopped for an equipment violation near mile 93 of the Seward Highway. During the stop, Troopers discovered a $500 warrant for Harmon’s arrest, for a previous charge of driving while license suspended.


Harmon was arrested and found to be attempting to deliver a schedule I narcotic.


Harmon was served multiple charges for Misconduct involving a controlled substance in the second degree and fourth degree. He was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child in the second degree.


Harmon was taken to the Anchorage Jail with an additional $10,000 bail.
