DOT Supports Soldotna Crossing Project

Soldotna City Manager Larry Semmons and Mayor Peter Micciche met with the Deputy Commissioner for the Department of Transportation, Frank Richards, on Tuesday, to learn about the status of local projects. Mayor Micciche says part of the discussion was an update on the Birch Street project.

Soldotna has been in the process of creating a safe crossing for residents to the park. Currently, residents must cross the Sterling Highway at Binkley Street, causing many to try crossing in thru traffic.
