DOT Recognized by NAGC For Communications

The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities has been formally recognized by the National Association of Government Communicators for their efforts in communications.

Specifically, the DOT won First Place in the Calendar category for ADOT&PF’s 2013 Calendar. According to the award information, the ADOT&PF calendar recognizes staff and the diverse fields and conditions they work in to serve the people of the Last Frontier. Employees submit photos related to transportation and public facilities, which their peers then vote on to be included in the calendar.

The DOT also won Second Place in the Soft/Hard Cover Book for the 2012 Department Overview, which was applauded for being “comprehensive” with “impressive statistics” and “stunning visuals.”

The DOT was also given an award of excellence in the Shoestring Budget category for the Grand Opening of the Illinois Street Reconstruction Project.
