The Alaska Department of Transportation are preparing for a pair of large road projects in the local area. Rick Feller with DOT outlined the work planed for K-Beach Road
Feller: At milepost 11, if you’ll recall, there was a washout of a large culvert last fall during the flooding events, so we’d done a replacement of the culvert last fall, early winter. This summer, we’ll be going back to the site and paving over that work area. In addition to that, on K-Beach Road, between milepost 16 and 22, we’ll be doing a resurfacing project.”
The project from mile 22 to 16, the Sterling Highway to Bridge Access is slated to begin around May 13th.
