The school bond project covering the repair of roofs in the district has paid off well. Kenai Peninsula Borough School District Superintendent Steve Atwater said more work is being planned.
He says there are still about 15 schools that the district would still like to re-roofed. However, roof repair is not the only item on the construction list for the summer with the school district. Atwater says the other major item involves improvements to some of the tracks.
The money to improve the tracks was part of this year’s capital budget from the state legislature.
