DEC Recalling Resers Foods

Resers packaged foods are being recalled over concerns the products may contain listeria.

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation has issued the recall, applying to Resers ready-to-eat cold salads, coleslaws, baked beans, salsas, spreads, and dips.

Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people and individuals with weakened immune systems.

The products were available in retails stores and through restaurants. To date, no illnesses have been reported in Alaska or other states.
