Executive Director of the Alaska Miner’s Association, Deantha Crockett, has been appointed to a private sector seat on the Alaska Workforce Investment Board.
Governor announced Crockett’s appointment today, along with David Alexander and Peggy Cowan. He also reappointed Pearl Strub, Jim Lynch, Doug Ward, Frederick Villa, and Ken Peltier.
Alexander and Cowan both work in education-related positions. Crockett also serves on the board of management for the Armed Services YMCA.
According to Parnell, the AWIB “develops and manages a comprehensive state human resource investment system, and promotes an efficient integrated system of employment education and training programs.”
