Curtain Call Used Building Destruction as Launching Pad

Curtain Call Consignment, the fundraising arm of the Kenai Performers, is closed this week for a remodel. After 5 years in business, Mary Krull says they nearly didn’t make it to their anniversary on March 29, but a green truck plowed through the front wall of their building last August…

Krull: “We had actually been contemplating continuing on Curtain Call at that point. We weren’t sure if it was something we wanted to do, and this was the catalyst that convinced us we should, because the support we got from our consigners and the community was so overwhelming, we couldn’t not do it. We couldn’t not keep it going.

After the accident, the store moved to a new location on Frontage Road in Kenai, and Krull said sales have never been better.

The boutique will reopen on April 4th.
