Cruise Waste, Oil Taxes, and Pipelines Being Addressed in State House

State Lawmakers have been in session in Juneau for just under one month now. We spoke this morning to State House Speaker Mike Cheanult, who outlined what’s been going on in the State House this week.


Speaker Chenault(R-Nikiski): “Well I think that anyone’s that’s kind of watching the news, has seen that we had cruise ship legislation that passed the house yesterday and is over on the senate side, and there’s a lot of debate going on about oil taxes, and some debate going on about instate energy needs and an gas pipeline from Prudhoe Bay south to tidewater.”
