Constitutional Classes Part of HB

There’s a move in the State House to require constitution classes for all high school students; Pegge Erkeneff with the local district that wouldn’t change much for our schools…

Erkeneff: “Right now, we do teach U.S. Government for a full semester in senior year, so that’s already built into our curriculum and that does include information and study around all the documents for our constitution.”

Erkeneff said the House needs to do more work on deciding exactly how they’d like the Constitution to be included in high school education, until then…

Erkeneff: “The District’s position is that we’re already incorporating that in our U.S. Government classes.”
