Concerned Caller Leads to Arrest After Driving While on Drugs

Saturday April 20th, just after 5:50pm, Anchor Point Based Troopers performed a traffic stop on a 1994 Subaru Legacy near mile 163 of the Sterling Highway after they received a REDDI (report every dangerous driver immediately) complaint and observed the vehicle driving erratically.

Trooper investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle, 37-year-old Maude Halbur of Homer, to be driving under the influence of drugs. Further investigation revealed Halbur to have a suspended driver’s license and that she was on active bail conditions in an ongoing criminal court case.

Ms. Halbur was arrested on the charges of Driving under the influence of drugs, driving while license suspended, and violating conditions of release and was remanded at the Homer Jail without bond.
