Household projects are underway across the central Kenai Peninsula, and now the City of Soldotna has joined in a national program aimed at promoting awareness of underground utilities.
Beginning last week, when you call 811, the City of Soldotna will be notified to come locate any municipal water, sewer, and street light utilities in the area of your project.
With the participation in the national digline program, residents no longer need to call the City directly to have underground utilities located. City officials say just call 811 and the City will be notified along with other participating utilities.
The City of Soldotna hopes their participation in this program makes projects easier and safer for city residents.
