The City of Kenai has suspended water restrictions for one day: Tuesday, June 25.
City administrators say residents can water their lawns on Tuesday, but request that watering is done in the early morning or evening hours, to reduce the sun’s evaporation effect.
Recent water conservation efforts have enabled the city’s water reservoir to fill back up, and it is near capacity at present. However, the City is asking residents to continue to cut back unnecessary uses of water, with full restrictions back in play from Wednesday.
The City says they will continue to set restriction-free days as the water supply allows.
