A two-vehicle accident closed a portion of the Kenai Spur near the Kenai Mall, yesterday afternoon,  just prior to 5 p.m.  Sergeant Ben Langham, of the Kenai Police Department, told our news department that the accident involved a Chevrolet pick-up and a Cadillac.  The pick-up was turning west onto the Kenai Spur from Broad Street.  The Cadillac was eastbound on the Kenai Spur.  The Cadillac struck the pick-up in the rear of the driver’s side.  Neither driver was hurt in the accident.  However, one person, identified only as a juvenile, was transported to Central Peninsula Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The child was a passenger in the pick-up.  The driver of the pick-up was Charleena Roberson of Soldotna.  The driver of the Cadillac was a 16-year-old from Kenai.
