Chenault Discusses Passed Legislation to Bring Gun Manufacturers to AK

The State Legislature, as we’re reported, voted to send a letter to every major gun and firearm accessory manufacturer in America telling them that the State of Alaska is open for business, encouraging them to relocate in light of the Lower 48s proliferation of new restrictive gun laws.

Speaker Chenault(R-Nikiski): “I’m glad to see that we’re taking some action, we believe in our rights to keep and bear arms, 2nd amendment rights. This is just a way to talk with gun manufacturers, and tell them that Alaska is open for business, ready to assist them in starring their businesses here. We want them to know that our doors are open. Some of these manufacturers feel as strongly about their right to produce accessories and firearms that they’re moving.”

House Joint Resolution 12, sponsored by State House Speaker Mike Chenault, also asks the Governor to tour the states and promote Alaska’s business-friendly climate and support for upholding the spirit and intent of the 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution
