CES Holds Open House Tomorrow

Central Emergency Services is holding an open house at Station #1 tomorrow, across from Soldotna Safeway. We got the full details from Captain Terry Bookey…

Capt. Bookey: “It’s going to be from 11am to 2pm and we’re going to be giving folks tours of the station. We’ll have some firefighter demonstration of some of the tactics that firefighters use when they’re on emergency scenes. We’ll have folks teaching people about hands-only CPR. We’ll have our dive rescue team, some of those members will be there, showing off some of their equipment and some of the stuff associated with the dive rescue, and then of course, all the fire trucks and the equipment used by firefighters will be out. Probably going to have a hose for children to come and operate a fire hose just like the firefighters.”

Bookey said there will be free hot dogs, and the aim is to connect with the community.
