There is one thing almost all of us can agree on! The education of our children is the single most important challenge that we must all face together. That’s why we have spent millions of dollars here in our Kenai Peninsula Borough to build dozens of school facilities, buildings, classrooms, gymnasiums, swimming pools, sports fields, [...]
The Soldotna community now has something that has been long overdue….a community playground that everyone can enjoy. Being a parent myself, I know my family will visit the playground during the warmer months. We were there for the opening on Sunday night. And, just like everyone else who was at the opening, it was a [...]
When our Borough School Board fails to review every budget request from their Superintendent and Central Office Staff and make the appropriate cuts to reflect the actual needs of each school in the District rather than all the dreams and wants that each school always has they are not serving the taxpayers in the Borough [...]
One of the things on the Kenai we count on but almost always take for granted are the roads, streets and highways we use everyday. These lawn mower engines with four whells are owned by the most irresponsible drivers on the Kenai Peninsula, who have absolutely no respect for private property. Once again, I think many people would agree with me.
Be prepared. It’s the well-known slogan for the Boys Scouts of America. Now, it also needs to be the slogan for the State Legislature, too.
