<p>Local emergency response groups  including, Nikiski, Kenai, CES Fire Depts. will be on hand with our  local Police Depts. with many other community groups to provide  activities for children and education on keeping our homes and  communities safe. HEA will be demonstrating the dangers of electrical power lines,  Forest Service Dept of Natural Resources will be providing education on  fire safe building materials, and the Alaska Volcano Observatory will  have information about volcanic activity and emergency response.  Food  will be provided by local vendors from Cold Stone, and AK reel, and the  “Hot Dog Man.”</p>
<p>Kids Build and Grow Clinics will run every hour from 10am to 2pm and  demonstrations from local chainsaw artists will highlight safety with  chainsaws and woodcutting.  Come on down from 10 to 2 on Saturday the  18th to get some great ideas on improving home safety and security!</p>

<p>Potatoes!  &#8220;Mr. Potato,&#8221; Bill Campbell speaking on potato growing in Alaska.  AK Plant Materials Center Agronomist, Campbell&#8217;s statewide reputation as the colorful potato guru is well deserved.  He can speak to the history of the potato as well as the current growing issues and lots more.  Campbell is an entertaining as well as knowledgeable speaker.</p>
<p>Potato Pageant!  As you dig your potatoes, pluck out the goofiest, one that looks like a famous person, biggest, ugliest, costumed potato!  Bring potato jokes, art work, send potato poems, recipes for the newsletter.  Prizes.  Refreshments, open to the public.</p>

<p><em>KSRM Radio Group reserves the right to refuse any request. Submissions are to be made through the radiokenai.com website only. Submissions faxed and that do not meet the following criteria will not be accepted.</em></p>

<li><em> </em>Announcements are only accepted from announcements that are<strong> FREE</strong> to the public.</li>
<li> Events, auctions, fundraising of any kind may purchase messages for a discounted rate through KSRM Radio Group marketing department. This offer is limited to one time a year use for each non-profit organization -  $300 for <strong>20</strong> &#8211; :25 second messages to use on each of our five radio stations at one time ending with a 5 second tag “this message brought to you by KSRM Radio Group”.</li>
<li> Content should be of direct relevance to listeners in KSRM Radio Group broadcast area.</li>
<li> Announcements promoting the purchase of tickets to an event do not qualify to use the WHATS HAPPENING page for fundraising.</li>
<li> Segments found on What’s Happening with the * sign determines those clients who have paid for radio messages and the What’s Happening is included in the agreement.</li>
<li> <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Personal</strong></span> – Personal ads are prohibited on community whats happening page</li>
<li> Classified ads belong on our <a href="http://radiokenai.net/tradio/" target="_blank">TRADIO PAGE</a></li>
