After the Thanksgiving holiday, many start decorating the home for Christmas. However, this needs to be done in a safe way. One problem that Central Emergency Services seems to have during the holiday season are fires started by a candle decoration. Assistant Fire Marshal Brad Nelson says firefighters had to put one out last year.

Nelson says, if candles are going to be used, then they need to be placed in a very safe spot.
