Buccaneer Alaska continues to be in the news lately with the recent announcement of more acquired Cook Inlet leases, and the independent’s continued progress on bringing a jack-up rig to the Cook Inlet. We asked Buccaneer Alaska President Jim Watt for an update on their Kenai Loop 1 onshore gas project

State Senator Tom Wagoner refers to this project as Buccaneer’s Wal-Mart 1; however, Watt said that the company would not change the name to legitimize Wagoner’s nickname.
