Brown Bears Close Regular Season In Fairbanks: Ready For Playoffs

The Kenai River Brown Bears again face the Fairbanks Ice Dogs , this time in Fairbanks to complete the regular season and to decide the winner of the ERA Alaska Cup.  The ERA Alaska Cup is awarded to the Alaska Junior A hockey team with the best head-to-head record between the Brown Bears and the Ice Dogs; currently the teams are tied with each team recording seven victories.

Friday and Saturday game times set for 7:30 at the Big Dipper Arena in Fairbanks.

 

Kenai River stands at 28-24-6 and in third place in the West Division of the North American Hockey League; Fairbanks is currently in second, just behind the Wenachee Wild with a 38-16-4 record.  Overall season records will determine seeding for the playoffs; all four West Division teams automatically qualify for the playoffs.
