Parnell Will Seek Re-Election in 2014

Early reports are indicating Governor Sean Parnell will run for re-election next year.

Governor Parnell has put to rest speculation that he’ll seek a run against incumbent U.S. Senator Mark Begich in the 2014 election, stating he feels he can have a more positive influence by remaining in the role he inherited in July 2009.

Regarding the federal government, Parnell reportedly said it’s “is in deep need of a different direction,” but it seems that will be left to a different candidate. So far, attorney Bill Walker has announced he’ll seek the GOP nomination for Governor   Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell and 2010 U.S. Senate contender Joe Miller still considering their campaigns for the Senate race.
