Governor Sean Parnell is currently holding a press conference, announcing his decision on Alaska’ Medicaid expansion.
The Governor began his address by saying that Obamacare has been a continual series of failures and “unilateral” law changes.
With continued delays and errors, Parnell said the President’s promises are ringing hollow, with the “fragile fiscal framework cracking.”
Parnell announced he will not expand Medicaid, since state cannot trust the federal government to fulfill its financial promises. He said Medicaid is already one of Alaska’s biggest and most costly programs.
Parnell called the situation a “hot mess.”
