On Monday, United States Senator Mark Begich said he sent a letter to Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, reminding Salazar of the importance of OCS oil and gas exploration and production to Alaska. Senator Begich said that the Department of the Interior is expected to announce, this week, its decisions on the 2007 to 2012 and the 2012 to 2017 Outer Continental Shelf Oil and Gas Leasing Programs. He urged Secretary Salazar to ensure that Alaska continues a strong leasing program in the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas.

How about letting us know when Begich actually accomplishes something. WRiting a letter isn’t doing much.
So far all Begich has done is vote down party lines. Sounds like we need to replace him sooner or later.
Let’s do it sooner.
