Assembly to Consider Hospital Governance

9/7/2010

Tonight, the Borough Assembly will consider the introduction of an ordinance involving the future governance and ownership of Central Peninsula Hospital.  The ordinance, as proposed by Assembly members Charlie Pierce and Pete Sprague, asks the Assembly to authorize the hospital board to enter into a letter of intent with LHP Hospital Group to negotiate an agreement to form a whole hospital joint venture to own and operate the Central Peninsula Hospital.

The ordinance is currently part of the consent agenda, which is approved as a whole by the Borough Assembly without debate.  If it remains on the consent agenda, tonight, then it would be up for a public hearing in October, after the seating of the new Borough Assembly.

  • J.R. Myers says:

Why are Assemblymen Sprague and Pierce in such a hurry?
Why did Mr. Sprague ask Linda Murphy to run for KPB Assembly?
Why are the other three KPB Assembly candidates all sitting members of the KPB Planning Commission?
Seems like there are several questions in need of answers here.
