Assembly Member Johnson Calls for Comment on DOT Clearing

Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly Member Brent Johnson said he wants as much public comment as possible for a resolution he’ll introduce to the Assembly at their next meeting…

Johnson: ” I’ve heard some complaints about the Right-of-Way clearing that’s been going on on the Sterling Hwy and K-Beach Rd. DOT has contracted out to clear the entire Right-of-Way. My resolution would ask the Governor and DOT to limit that to 75 feet, and an opportunity for the public will exist then to speak to that at the next meeting, but it’ll be the only opportunity the public has and the whole purpose I’m doing this is because I want to hear from the public and find out if there is a lot of interest in limiting that.”

The next Assembly meeting will be held on February 5th at 7pm in the Borough Assembly Chambers in Soldotna.
