With the Kenai Peninsula Borough election only a few days away, we have checked in with APOC and found out just how much each of the candidates have spent in the race.

As of last week, Gary Superman of Nikiski has spent $5,613.15 and has received donations from former Borough Mayor Stan Thompson. Fred Sturman has spent $7,338.70. Debbie Brown has spent $19,425.45, getting donations from Bill Walker. Dale Bagley has spent $22,763.90, with donations from many members of the Soldotna business community, as well as, Borough Assembly member Brent Johnson of Clam Gulch. Mike Navarre has spent a whopping $32,577.18, with donations from U.S. Senator Mark Begich, Assembly member Linda Murphy of Soldotna and Borough Mayor Dave Carey. Tim O’Brien has raised no funds for his campaign, and has only spent $318.18.

APOC records also show that all candidates, who have raised funds, have received donations from outside of the Kenai Peninsula Borough.
