Ammunition Shortage Continues, Less Severe Than Winter

Ammunition supplies are still in high demand, as boxes of bullets disappear from store shelves. We asked Mike Misner, Sales Manager for Black Dog Firearms in Soldotna, if their inventory is back to normal…


Misner: “It’s still pretty scarce actually. Most common pistol calibers are still hard to get at for most of the smaller stores, but the box stores seem to be getting it pretty decently. I think it’s because we can’t make million dollar orders, so our orders are getting pushed.”


Misner said the most rare is .22 long rifle. And as far as actual guns staying in stock, semi-automatic weapons are the most popular. Overall…
