All across our country Public School officials are pushing for the removal of any mention of God or so-called Christian influence

All across our country Public School officials are pushing for the removal of any mention of God or so-called Christian influence in the classroom and anywhere on public school properties and now the courts are backing them up.

Anyone who knows the history of America knows that our nation was founded by Godly men and women on Judeo/Christian principals and it is estimated that over 85% of our population respect the Bible and honor its teachings.

In 2007, Public school officials in the Poway School District in San Diego  told one of their teachers, Brad Johnson, to take down his classroom banners because they promoted a Judeo-Christian viewpoint referring to “God” and might offend a Muslim student.  For over two decades, 22 years, the teacher had displayed banners in his classroom that included our national motto “In God We Trust” and other patriotic phrases that mentioned God: “One Nation Under God”, “God Bless America,” and “God Shed His Grace On Thee.”

Those same school officials left untouched: a 40 foot string of Tibetan prayer flags with images of Buddha strung across the classroom; posters of Hindu leader Mahatma Gandhi, Muslim leader Malcolm  X, and Buddhist leader Dali Lami.  The school officials admitted that Brad never attempted to proselytize his students and that he was one of the best math teachers in the district. Rather than cave-in, Brad chose to fight the public school officials with the help of the Thomas More Law Center who agreed to represent him at no charge. It’s been a lengthy battle ever since.

In 2010 a state court ruled that the school district had violated Brad Johnson’s constitutional rights when it ordered him to take down the classroom banners.  He was happy with his victory, but then public school officials appealed to the Federal Court System.

Two weeks ago the federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals released their ruling. The court has ordered that all banners mentioning “God” including “In God we Trust” be taken down and not displayed any classroom.  It will be up to an Appeals court to make a final decision and the case may end up before the Supreme Court.

All across America public schools and federal courts are trying to cleanse classrooms of America’s Christian heritage and undermining student’s sense of patriotism but this is one public school teacher who is fighting back. Maybe it’s time for all parents to read their students text books, visit school classrooms often and find out just what is being taught to all the kids in our public schools.

JCD: It is a breath of fresh air to hear someone speak out in favor of God! You are so correct in how our country is trying to eliminate God from the classroom, based on “separation of Church and State”, while at the same time increase the popularity of islam and other secular religions.

Our country was built with God laying the foundation. Now of course all the non-believers try to minimize or deny that occurred.

All there belief does is insult the intelligent and convert the stupid. That is why our country is in big trouble as a nation. Don’t believe me? See how far your muslim president has destroyed America’s economy and divided a nation…and then lies about his faith.

To all the readers who wave the banner of separating God from our great Nation, I suggest you wrap a towel around your noggin and defect to the Middle East where you can scream Jihad at the top of your lungs. This will allow righteous immigrants to enter the USA who don’t want to destroy the best country in the world.

It is still “IN GOD WE TRUST:!!!

As Christians, we don’t want you killed because you we think you are a infidel, we still love you as a misguided brother or sister and will try to share the Love of God with you. If you refuse, we will brush the dust off our feet and move on.

    What does your God say?

    on that note:

Keep on rockin in the free world!

I want my kids near God. Since God is “barred” from public school by the goverment, parents
might think about barring children in public schools. It might be better not to try and educate children in Hell. Just a thought.

Being a member of The Church of Reality any god I might or might not have couldn’t talk because he is an idea, not a person.

Reality, like god , is just a construct that we believe should take precedence in our day to day lives. So I guess actually my god would say GET REAL. If he could talk.

Oh and Neil Young , whose song you quote without mentioning him , says “I’m not into organized religion. I’m into believing in a higher source of creation, realizing we’re all just part of nature.”
I believe that would make him a Deist not a Christian. And that makes more sense to me in a real way.
    Thanks for listening

I have no problem with freedom of religion, but to force this teacher to remove his banners while retaining those of other religions is blatantly restricting the freedom of one’s religion.

    alaskalad….LOL OK buddy.
